1. It is 2010, and RR is now 34 years old and still getting better. Of course we have exciting new recordings in progress- watch for news as the year goes on about NEW artists for RR and NEW musical styles (Blues, anyone?). We are always in the forefront with new formats, especially our HRx 176.4 kHz/24 bit DVD data discs. We are also expanding our collaboration with Hdtracks.com, where you can download all of RR's titles in CD quality, OR selected titles at 88.2 kHz/24 bit high resolution! 2010 is the year which will finally see RR returning to our roots and releasing LPs again. A group of jazz and classical titles, on imported 180 gram pressings and half-speed mastered on a specially modified cutting lathe is in the works as I write this. And last but not least, we continue our new series of SACDs for fans of that format, including our first multi-channel release: "Britten's Orchestra" (RR-120 SACD) which is planned for late spring release. This title has had rave reviews as a compact disc, but wait till you hear the surround sound version!
2. Our next CD will be a tremendous jazz compilation, "Jazz Kaleidoscope" with great material from Dick Hyman, The Hot Club of San Francisco, Mike Garson, Red Norvo, Jim Brock, Clark Terry and more! Watch for our release announcement in March! Labels: 100th posting, Announcements, CES, HRx, LPs, News, Reference Recordings, SACD, THE Show
