The International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) has officially announced the 2015 nominees, and our Strauss SACD featuring Manfred Honeck and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has been nominated in the Symphonic Music category! The ICMA (previously known as the Cannes Classical Awards and the MIDEM Classical Music Awards) first began awarding prizes in 2011. Awards and nominations are decided by a jury of 16 distinguished classical critics and broadcasters representing countries from across Europe and beyond. ICMA Winners will be announced on January 20, 2015 followed by a ceremony and gala in Ankara, Turkey on March 28, 2015.

This tradition was furthered in fall 2008, when Austrian conductor Manfred Honeck became Music Director of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. With a long and distinguished history of touring both domestically and overseas since 1900, the PSO is critically acclaimed as one of the world’s greatest orchestras. They have made more than 35 international tours, and recently returned from their 2013 European Festivals Tour, where enthralled audiences filled the PSO's concerts in Grafenegg, Berlin, Bucharest, Paris, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Lucerne and Bonn. We hope that fans of the PSO worldwide will enjoy this thrilling new release!
