RR at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest this weekend!

The Rocky Mountain Audio Fest will be held at the Denver Marriott Tech Center Hotel on October 11-13, 2013. Furniture will be removed from over 170 of the hotel’s sleeping rooms and manufacturers will set up complete stereo systems for attendees to audition. You are encouraged to go from room to room, have a seat and casually listen. In fact, feel free to bring your own iPods, discs or records to the show, as most exhibitors will be more than happy to play one or two songs of your favorite music.

RR at RMAF

Reference will have a booth in the Evergreen Ballroom along with other purveyors of recorded music newly released, rare, vintage and collectable. We are thrilled to be debuting the brand new Kansas City Symphony/Elgar/Vaughan Williams LP and SACD at the 2013 Rocky Mountain Audio Fest!

Now in it's tenth year, this consumer hi-fi gathering has grown into one of the most popular shows in the US in large part because the presenters, show producer Marjorie Baumert and the Colorado Audio Society, do a superb job of organizing everything. Attendees and exhibitors are relaxed and ready for some awesome audio equipment demos, many will be using RR recordings on CD, HRx or on vinyl .

There are 2-1/2 full days of seminars and discussions about all things audio and over 170 demonstration rooms of gear. It's an opportunity to listen and to meet the designers, inventors and manufacturers of some of the finest in audio playback equipment.

Doug MacLeod will present 2 performance/seminars on Saturday morning. And we're looking forward to a visit from another RR artist, composer Charles Denler who lives near Denver. Charles' Portraits of Colorado is our newest Fresh! release.

Doug MacLeod

Singer/songwriter/storyteller/guitarist/troubadour Doug MacLeod will present a set of original compositions drawing from his latest release, “There’s A Time”, recorded by Grammy-award-winning engineer and audio industry legend, Keith O. Johnson for Reference Recordings.

Doug has the single distinction of having recorded for three audiophile record labels; Reference Recordings, Analogue Productions and Audioquest Music, in addition to conventional record labels.

He’ll take questions about his career, the instruments he plays, songwriting, his personal encounters and relationships with historic blues figures, and subjects of interest from the attendees.
