FRESH! from Reference Recordings is a new offshoot of our respected 34-year-old independent classical and jazz audiophile label. Offering productions from all music genres, FRESH! will showcase artists and unique recordings that we think our fans and the wider market will enjoy. Most releases on FRESH! will not be recorded by the RR team, but RR will have input in the recording, editing, post production and/or mastering phases of production. FRESH! is part of our mission to encourage new artists and give them a strong platform for promotion and sales. It is exciting to add this avenue to RR Technical director Keith O. Johnson’s life-long role in mentoring new artists and recording/engineering teams. FRESH! perfectly compliments his many seminars and master classes for UCLA, NARAS, AES, etc. For releases on FRESH! he and the RR team will work in collaboration with local recording studios and producers.
